On the occasion of EHH’s annual General Assembly in Brussels, we took the opportunity to host the Final Conference for the HERIT Erasmus+ project. The event was attended not only by the project consortium partners (European Landowners’ Organization, On Projects, Universidade da Coruña, Asociace Majitelů Hradů a Zámků, European Historic Houses, Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3, and Invasioni Digitali), but also by participants from all over Europe. Among these, there were some MOOC participants and contributors (Katerina Sostok, Gabriel Wick, Kathrine Pederson, and Joaquín Ignacio Mencos Arraiza) who presented the essential skills, competencies, and training needed for private owners of historic houses and their employees.
Then, the event continued with a roundtable on skills moderated by Dana Beldiman (EHH Board Member) where speakers addressed the genuine requirements of the private heritage sector. Marzia Piccininno (CHARTER – European Cultural Heritage Skills Alliance), Stefania Pignatelli Gladstone (Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane) and Malgorzata Kozak (DG EAC) discussed the sector’s challenges, lifelong learning and Erasmus plus opportunities for adults.
